Because of the legal nature of the transactions: at Crown, what is traded are virtual assets (stablecoins), not foreign currency. Although these assets have been brought into the FX market by regulatory determination, purchasing a virtual asset with Brazilian Reais does not constitute an effective currency conversion. Without an actual FX transaction, there is no taxable event for IOF-Câmbio. In other words, this is a case of non-incidence — not exemption.

Yes. We operate in full compliance with the Central Bank's regulatory framework for virtual assets and carry out all mandatory reporting for transactions on the platform. Our regulatory team actively monitors the evolution of the rules. If requirements change, staying compliant is our responsibility, not yours.

API transactions are executed instantly, with settlement in a matter of minutes [D+0] — compared to the D+1 or D+2 timelines standard in the market. Very high-volume transactions may settle within the business day window, up to the settlement grid close (6 PM). Upon request, we can also settle on D+1 or D+2.

No. You can buy and sell USDC and other virtual assets available on the platform directly in BRL. BRLV is an additional option for those who wish to operate with a Brazilian Real stablecoin, but it is not a requirement to use the platform.
